    About Me
The majority of my professional career has been spent welcoming students to campus through university housing. I am thrilled to have a chance now to support students and their families through the recruitment process. I get excited about the opportunity to learn of the powerful stories and experiences that students bring from their diverse backgrounds. When I am not working, you will find me spending time in my faith, with my family (wife and two children) and grilling in the warm Florida weather year-round.

    Favorite Campus Location

The nature-esque walking paths are my favorite parts of campus. It brings me a great deal of peace and clarity every time I walk them.

    Favorite UF Fun Fact
Being new to the campus and the Gainesville community, one thing that immediately stood out was a section of town that was formerly known as "Hogtown." One of the things that drives me personally and professionally are stories and historical narratives, and the name "Hogtown" especially caught my attention because of my alma mater. My initial investigations into Gainesville's "Hogtown" have helped me learn that the origins of the name are connected to histories of an indigenous village of Seminoles who raised hogs in the area. I have so much more to learn about this Gainesville history, and I hope you will join me in learning, too.

    Admissions Advice
When thinking about your admissions essay, think about how you can embrace the voice of your experiences. There is such power in voicing your personal experiences. The ability to tell your story at the intersection of your identities can bring to life who you are; always remember to share and tell your story, because in the absence of you telling your story, someone else may try to tell it for you. And no one – I mean no one  can tell your story like YOU!
